How we work together

Financial therapy meets you where you are โ€” with warmth, structure, and zero judgement about your bank balance. All sessions are held securely online for clients in California, Idaho, Florida, Arizona, Virginia & North Carolina.

The core work

Three shifts we make together

01

Healing money shame

Your worth is not your net worth. We gently unpack the beliefs, family stories, and secret shame around money you’ve carried โ€” often since childhood โ€” so you can meet your finances without dread.

02

Breaking the spending cycle

We find the emotional triggers beneath impulse buys and”I deserve this” spirals, then build healthier ways to soothe, celebrate, and cope โ€” so spending stops running on autopilot.

03

Building financial peace

From avoidance and anxiety to calm, confident decisions. We help you pay down debt, spend in line with your values, and finally feel safe with money โ€” whatever your balance.

Beyond money

Support that goes deeper

Money stress rarely travels alone. As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I also work with the anxiety, burnout, and old wounds that so often sit underneath it โ€” using approaches tailored to you.

  • Anxiety โ€” quiet a racing mind and the”never enough” feeling
  • Burnout โ€” recover from over-work and over-earning as a way to cope
  • Brainspotting โ€” a gentle, body-based approach to release stuck experiences
  • Self-worth & identity โ€” separate who you are from what you earn

Frequently asked questions

What is financial therapy, exactly?

It’s therapy that focuses on your relationship with money โ€” the emotions, beliefs, and behaviours around earning, spending, and saving. I’m not a financial advisor and I won’t manage your investments. Instead, we work on why money feels the way it does, so your behaviour can change from the inside out.

Do I need to share my bank statements?

No. This isn’t about auditing your spending or handing over account details. We talk about your feelings, patterns, and history with money. You share only what feels useful to you.

I earn well โ€” is my problem even”real”?

Yes. A good income can hide a painful relationship with money, and”you make plenty, just budget” is advice that misses the point entirely. If spending, anxiety, or shame around money is affecting your life, that’s reason enough.

Are sessions online or in person?

Sessions take place over a secure, encrypted video platform, available to clients in California, Idaho, Florida, Arizona, Virginia and North Carolina โ€” the states where I’m licensed. Online therapy is just as effective as meeting in person for this work, and far easier to fit into a full schedule.

Is everything confidential?

Yes. What you share stays private, with rare legal exceptions where there is a serious risk of harm. I’ll explain these clearly in our first session.

How many sessions will I need?

It varies. Some people find a focused stretch of sessions helpful; others value longer-term support. We’ll review progress together regularly, and there’s no obligation to continue.

Not sure which fits?

That’s exactly what the free consultation is for. We’ll talk it through and find the right starting point โ€” no commitment needed.
